The problem with checking a credit score
Most consumer finance in Pakistan assumes you already have a bank relationship and a credit bureau record. Many students, first time earners, freelancers, and gig workers simply do not have one yet.
That assumption shuts out the very people who would benefit most from a fair and transparent way to pay over time. A missing file is often read as a risk signal by traditional lenders, when in reality it usually just means someone has not yet had the chance to interact with the formal financial system, not that they are unlikely to repay what they borrow.
SahulatKar starts from a different question: not "does this person already have a credit history," but "what can we reliably see about this person today, right now, that tells us something real about their ability to repay."
